#JudgeLessFeelBetter

2019 will go down as the year of social media exhaustion.

2010 to 2018 was curiosity and scale. 2019 began the tipping point toward exhaustion.

Why?

It wasn’t the volume that exhausted people; it was the emotional reaction, specifically judgment fatigue. Yes, that’s a real thing.

People will say they were tired of *being* judged. But that’s one side of the coin. The other side is that people started judging others, too, at such speed and volume that it decreased their sense of joy and connection.

That judgment created division, and the next implications were clear: more loneliness and more frustration.

It’s going to take a lot of reflection and intention to let go of this habit of judging others for such superficial things.

What they post on social media is not a full view of their character, struggles, dreams, relationships, values, beliefs or even daily life.

You can’t judge someone because of their color scheme or lifestyle memes any more than by the color of their skin or where they live.

Maybe it’s time to drop the judgment. You’ll feel better.

Go a step further and drop the harsh judgments of yourself too.

Let go all the mental baggage that has piled up about yourself and others.

Judge less, feel better.

Say it at 2020 with me: Judge less, feel better.
